Chapter 1

Tricia's POV

I climbed up the stairs that led to Andrew's room hurriedly to tell him the good news. Over the past few months, I haven't been feeling well lately. I slept a lot, ate a lot, and vomited a lot.

I decided to go to my doctor and I was three weeks pregnant. I screamed and instantly left the office so I could share the good news with Andrew.

As I got closer to his room and stood at the front of the door, I heard some strange noises that made me pause in my tracks. I listened carefully to be sure of what I was hearing. I didn't want to believe what I was hearing.

My heart was hammering in my chest as I gathered up the courage to turn the doorknob. What if what I think is true? A thought crossed my mind and I pushed it aside refusing to believe what my heart was telling me.

I finally turned the doorknob and my eyes instantly couldn't believe what it was seeing. A chill immediately ran down my spine seeing the event in front of me. "And_rew" my lips trembled as the word got out.

My sister just laid there on my mate's bed a smirk plastered on her face.

"What are you doing in my room" Andrew asked coldly glaring at me. He was angry I interrupted his moment. Pain, heart-wrenching pain was what my heart felt at that moment.

"Why are you doing this to me? What has this witch done to you" I charged towards my sister and raised my hands to slap her but Andrew immediately stopped me and lashed me a hot slap on my face sending burning pain through it like raging fire

"Andrew" I sobbed " what have I done to deserve all of this?"

"Don't you ever try to harm your Luna again? Is that understood?" His voice laced with rage and pure hatred

"My lu_na?"I was surprised as I held my Cheeks where I still felt the sting pain. I froze in sadness after what he just uttered.

"Yes, your Luna. She is now my mate and my wife-to-be and not you"

My heart tugged in terror at what he just said. The next word I heard from him broke me down. It brought out the tears I have been trying to keep in place. "I Alpha Andrew Peters of Full Moon Pack reject you Tricia Lockwood of Full Moon Pack as my mate"

I felt my heart had been divided into two by a sharp sword. Tears that filled my eyes before came running down my cheeks. My wolf was sad and quiet. We were both hurt. I looked at my sister with my blurring eyes "Why? Why did you do this?"

I felt weak. My voice is shaking and choking.

Andrew stood up from the bed and made his way into the bathroom ignoring me. His silence broke my heart even more.

Then I turned to my sister. My eyes looked at her as she wrapped the duvet around her body and got off my bed. No, I and Andrew bed.

She chuckled, glaring at me in disgust." You've always had everything. Love, respect, a good and loving mate, Mom always chooses you in everything but me nothing. You never for once considered my feelings."

"I have always loved you. I never for once neglected you. You are my sister and my blood" I replied to her with sadness laced in my voice. Hailey was the last person I thought could hurt me this much.

Is this a dream? Am I hallucinating? I thought to myself. I can't bear this pain my heart is feeling. It's tearing me apart. Hailey got up and walked to the bathroom that Andrew just entered. She dropped the duvet at the entrance of the door and glanced at me " Tricia when you are tired of crying, please shut the door behind you. I don't want anyone interrupting Andrew and me again". She said as she finally entered the bathroom.

I jolted out of the room in shame. I kept crying and sobbing. I just wanted to be far from here.

I turned into my wolf who was very angry and sad. I began to run fast. My mind was blank and hurting. Every part of my body was hurting.

I didn't know how I got to the forest but when I realized where I was, I knew I was far from the place I once knew as home and the people I called family.

I cried my eyes out until I couldn't cry anymore. The pain in my heart still lingered but I got tired of crying.

Hopelessness and silence was my companion now. I walked to a tree and sat down on one of the branches on the ground. I decided to rest my head on the back of the tree. I was exhausted, heartbroken, rejected, lonely, and even disappointed.

I felt pain. My eyes slowly began to shut themselves. It was time to relax. Thinking about the recent events that have played out since tears began to flow from my eyes again. I didn't want to cry anymore but the pain was unbearable.

I touched my stomach and a smile plastered on my lips. At least I had someone who was with me here.

Who would have thought that the same day I found out I was pregnant was the day I was going to leave the place I called home.?I thought to myself.

"Your father has rejected us so it's just me and you now. I will make sure he never sees you. He will never hold you and he will never know you"Tears ran down my eyes as my lips trembled uncontrollably again.

I couldn't control myself and my emotions were all over the place. I decided that Hailey and Andrew were not worth crying for. I am going to keep myself and my baby alive no matter what.

I closed my eyes in an attempt to sleep but sleep wasn't coming. So I decided to lay on the not-so-smooth ground.

I lay on my side under the tree and closed my eyes. Slowly sleep took me away. Far a

way from the pain, sadness, and loneliness that I was feeling.

Andrew POV

After Hailey and I had a good time together in the bathroom, we both took our showers and went to the room. I went to the closet and took a pair of black jeans and a blue T-shirt.

I walked to my office and thought about everything that happened today. My wolf has been pleading that we go look for our mate but I don't want that. I refuse to be married to someone who would cheat on me.

I trusted Tricia one hundred percent. I never thought she could cheat on me with a fellow pack member. A low life.

I remembered how I felt when Hailey told me about what she saw.

"Are you sure about this?" I asked Hailey after hearing what she just said

"Yes, I am. I saw her with my own eyes. She went into the doctor's house and when I looked through the window, he requested that she raise her shirt and she did '' Hailey replied looking at the confused state of Andrew.

"How could she cheat on me, the Alpha with a low-life doctor?" I was getting pissed off with the idea of another man touching my mate.

I felt Hailey's hand on my chest from the back. She was so close and I knew what she was trying to do.

Hailey has been making an effort to get me to sleep with her for a while now but I have refused because I can't hurt my mate.

But seeing the situation now, I might just cheat on her since she had already cheated on me. I turned around looking Hailey in the eye as I waited for her next move.

Hailey put her arms around my neck and kissed me on my lips. I responded to her kiss and lost control of myself.

Tricia's POV

I didn't know how long I had been sleeping till I woke up and realized that it was late in the evening. The sun had gone down and the forest breeze sent chills down my body.

I decided to take a walk even if I didn't know where I was going. I walked slowly and saw a small river at my front. My heart leaped in joy.

I walked towards the river and looked at my reflection in the river. My eyes looked back at me in sadness and weakness. I dipped my hands into the river and washed my face carefully. "ouch" I hissed in pain. It seems like the slap that landed on my face earlier today still stings.

I began to hear noises and strange movements. Fear gripped me. I was sure I was the only one here but now, I had a second thought.

I turned around in fear "Who is there?" I asked as panic and fear gripped me.

I felt a presence at my back and instantly got up. Turning around, I got hit on my head and I fell on the ground unconsciously.

I woke up in a moving cart. I couldn't move because my hands and legs were tied. I looked at the person on the horse and discovered a young man in his early thirties.

"Who are you? where are you taking me to" My voice trembled as I panicked in fear.

"I should be the one asking you that. Who are you? What are you doing in the blue moon pack? Have you come to spy on us?"

Blue moon pack? "Please I don't know what you are talking about but let me go" I helplessly pleaded but he just glanced at me and ignored me.

"If you don't shut your mouth, I would shut it for you" I could hear his hatred and coldness through his voice.

I decided to keep quiet and sit comfortably. The cart was very old making creaking sounds as it moved on the rough ground. I closed my eyes as I muttered some prayers to the moon goddess. I didn't know where this man was taking me and I didn't trust him

I don't know where I am and I could see that he was approaching the said blue moon pack. We finally got to the pack and he left me at the mercy of the pack guards at the gate. He whispered something in one of the guard's ears and the other looked at me suspiciously.

They immediately dragged me to the royal pack house after removing the ropes that held my legs tightly together. The house was very huge. I stared at the mansion in front of me and I was mesmerized. I followed the guards inside the mansion and was told to wait with the other guard.

"Who is she?" The guard at the door of the mansion asked with a cold and emotionless voice

"She is a spy"

My eyes widened at his reply." No, I am not a sp_" I tried justifying myself but I was cut short

"Take her to the Alpha. He would know what to do to her."

My body instantly panicked at his reply. I felt my heart hammering in my chest. For some reason, I wasn't comfortable with that reply.

We finally got to a door and the guards stopped in front of the door. The guards stood still and I already knew what was going on. They were using mind link to talk with the king

"The Alpha instructed us to take her to the prison" the royal guard informed the other guard holding the rope that held my hand bound.

"What! No." It seemed like I was talking to myself. They didn't listen to me as they dragged me forcefully down the hallway. We climbed the stairs in a dark passageway.

It was creeping and it reeked of rotten blood. I wanted to puke but I tried not to. They opened a gate that led to a very dark prison. The prison had just a window. The only place that had light was the passageway.

"Hey! This place is disgusting and smells bad. I can't stay here. I command that you let me out right now"

"Okay, princess." A smirk plastered on their face as they made their way out of the prison through the gate.

The only source of light in the prison was a dimmed light bulb at the center of the prison.

I hated this place. I couldn't see anything. I was just staring into the darkness. I instantly closed my eyes. Fear crept in as chills ran down my spine. I hated my life.

Joel's POV

IN THE MORNING

"Your Highness. We aren't challenging you or trying to take your inheritance from you. We are just saying that you should try to have an heir to your throne."

The elders came to the pack house today to have a meeting with me. They are afraid that I might die one day without leaving an heir to take over the throne.

I have been the Alpha of the Blue Moon pack since I turned eighteen. I have ruled this pack in peace and harmony and now they think I would just die like that. Are they underestimating me?

"Your Highness please try to understand what we are saying. If you can't get married and have an heir in five days, we will be forced to do what we have in mind."

"And what would that be?" I yelled clenching my fist as rage boiled inside me

"Your Highness," the third elder said "Please this is not our intention and we don't want you to get angry. We just want to take precautions. Our enemies are never tired of plotting and attacking us. What we want you to do is simple. Get married to any lady of your choice and produce us an Alpha"

How dare they challenge me to produce an heir or lose my position as the Alpha?

"We don't want the royal line to end with you," another elder said "You have been alone and lonely since the Luna died in the war, and since then_

"Quiet" I ordered using my Alpha authority. I didn't want him to complete the sentence.

Talking about my late mate and Luna of the pack poured salt on my open wounds " If not for the respect I have for every one of you here, I would have killed you all here and now." I glared at each of them.

Each of them bowed down their head in submission. "The meeting is over". I walked out on all of them and went to my office.

I was pissed. I couldn't control my anger and I didn't want to scatter my office or hurt anybody so I did the only thing that came to my mind there.

I jumped out the window in my office, transformed into my wolf, and ran towards the forest at speed.

Tricia's POV

I didn't know how long I had been sleeping but I felt so hungry and tired even after just waking up. I looked through the window and saw that the only light that shone inside my cell was through the small window that a person could barely pass through to escape.

"Are you sure of what you are saying?" the first prison guard said.

I leaned closer to the gate so I could hear what they were whispering about clearly.

"Yes, I am. They want the Alpha to take a wife, mate with her, and produce an heir to secure the throne for the future." Another voice answered.

"So whoever becomes his wife would become the Luna of the pack and his mate.

"Yes of course. Everybody knows that."

I tried to connect the dots and from what I just heard, the Alpha needed an heir, and to have an heir, he had to mate with a wolf to produce an heir. I smiled as an idea came to my mind. I don't know if he is going to agree to it but I was going to try.

I want my child to have a good life and not end up dead for a false accusation by an unknown pack. All I needed to do now was to look for a way to speak with the Alpha.

"The Alpha requested that the spy be brought to his office" a deep cold voice ordered and instantly, the gate that led to my cell was opened.

They led the way and I followed. Behind me stood another guard just in case I had plans of escaping. We climbed the stairs, walked down the hallway, and stood again at the front of the office.

The guard used mind link to talk with the Alpha again like before and when he was done, he opened the door and we all steeped in

"Leave us" All the royal guards left and closed the door.

The Alpha stood by the window and I took my time to check him out. He wasn't bad from the back. He is tall, has a nice broad shoulder with his muscles begging to be let out of the sleeve he wore, and a nice black long hair. He tied his hair in a ponytail.

Just at that very moment, he turned from the window to face me and I must say I was stunned. I looked at him in awe as I stared at the drop-dead gorgeous and charming young man in front of me.

He was alluring with his tanned skin and gorgeous hazel eyes.

"Are you done staring" his question jolted me back to reality and I composed myself. I had something I wanted to discuss with him and I needed a way I could bring it up.

"I can help you," I said, not knowing what to say to hide my embarrassment.

"Help with what?" His voice was cold and sharp.

" I know you need a mate and a child and I can help you with that. We could have an agreement and nobody would know it was planned"

"And where did you get that information from?" he stared at me suspiciously as he took a step towards me, making me take two steps backward.

"Emmm i_i_i heard it somewhere" I stuttered.

"Where"

"Look, it doesn't matter. What matters is that we both get what we want" I replied frustrated at his numerous questions.

"And what do you want?" He asked curious to know why this whole plan

"I want a place where I and my child would be protected. I want my child to grow knowing he has a father and a mother." I started sadly remembering everything that has happened since the beginning till now.

For a few seconds, he looked at me suspiciously. The silence was what accompanied my ears

"Are you pregnant". His eyes looked at my stomach as he made this statement out of the blue.

"Yes I am"

"Then this plan can't work" My world came crashing down at his words. I felt like a failure. I couldn't accomplish one simple strategy. My face droped.

"Why are you this hard?" I yelled in annoyance. "We both need something from each other. Why are you so stubborn" I couldn't bottle up my emotions again. This man was driving me crazy and making me frustrated.

Chapter 4

Joel POV

I looked at the young woman in front of me yelling and trying to convince me to make her my wife. Does she think I am stupid I thought to myself.

"I don't even know you. You just came from nowhere and showed up in my pack and now you want me to make a crazy deal with you and put myself in danger. No, that's not going to happen."

"I am Tricia Lockwood from Full Moon Pack. I was rejected by my mate who I caught sleeping with my younger sister and he doesn't know that I am pregnant with his child" She was out of breath immediately after she finished talking about herself.

"And you want me to claim his child? What about when he comes back here wanting to take his child? I don't think this is a good idea besides you don't even look pregnant "I coldly glared at her stomach for a second and looked away.

I am not sure if I should go ahead with her plan. I don't want to fall in love again and lose someone I love so it's reasonable I shouldn't see or marry anyone. The elders of the pack gave me five days and I don't know what to do

"He won't come asking for the child because he doesn't know the child exists." she sadly stated. Her voice dropped down in volume after every word. I could see the disappointment on her face.

"And if he does"

" He won't"

"If he does come here, what are you going to do" I asked

"He won't come" she insisted

I am not going to lie, the idea was a good one. Nobody knows that there is someone new in the pack and if we do get married, no one would suspect she was pregnant before we got married. If I agree with her plan, I will be able to provide an heir, and not only that, I would also be able to secure my birthright from being taken from me.

"I can't go with your idea. Get out of my presence" I ordered her turning my back again to face the window. I turned back after I had heard the door shut behind me. Then I mind-linked the prison guard not to take her back to the prison but to the guest room. She looked dirty and very unkempt. But I had a deep intuition that she would be helpful to me.

I don't think she is a spy. I only think she is a rogue wolf since I could smell it on her.

"Your Highness. The elders are waiting for you in the meeting room" Cross, another guard informed me through the mind link

"Tell them I am sleeping and would not like to be disturbed" I coldly said

"Am sorry your Highness but I already told them that you just finished with a private meeting " he sounded frightened at my next reaction.

"You fool. Why didn't you tell me first before they open your big mouth and tell them I was in a meeting" I opened the door and my eyes met his. I stood at the front of the door glaring at him. He was frightened to the core, shaking so hard. He quickly went down on one knee and bowed his head down.

I just walked past him, pissed already that I had to deal with these elders again. They always annoyed me with their foolish suggestions. Old men that had nothing to do with their lives. My aura was cold and dangerous and in every corridor I passed, fear was written on the faces of the guards present there.

I pushed the door open and entered the room pissed, and cold. I took my seat and glared at every one of them. They all trembled in fear and didn't look at my eyes. They could all sense that I was furious.

They all started sweating and shivering like children who had just gotten out of the rain. The atmosphere was very uncomfortable and I liked it that way. It would make them cautious of what they want to say to me.

"So what is this meeting all about?"

There was no reply. No one wanted to utter a word. It was as if they were thinking of what to say that wouldn't upset me.

"Your Highness. We are here to remind you of our discussion yesterday"

"I didn't forget so why coming to remind me"

" Your Highness we know but it's four days left and you are not taking this issue seriously."

"And is that what I told you?" Rising from my seat, I looked at the senior elder of our pack as he bowed his head in fear

"No, your Highness."

"Then sit and don't make a sound again till you leave these gates" I commanded with my Alpha authority.

The silence was what filled up my ears until another elder spoke again

"May I speak your highness"

"You may speak elder Emilio" I answered as I sat on my seat.

"Your Highness, I have an idea. Why don't we pass a message to the pack members telling them that you will be coming to choose a bride from one of the families today in the evening and whoever you choose, would be your mate."

"Yes, I agree. That's a good idea" Soon whispers could be heard from the table as the elders said this idea was a good idea and talked with each other

I became frustrated and tired of always trying to make me pick someone to marry and have an heir. I was annoyed now with their little noise.

"Silence. That's enough. There would be no need for that"

"Your Highness, please take this issue seriously. This would help you find someone" Elder Antonio said

"I already found someone" I dropped the bump shell and they all went mute. No one said a word for two minutes and I saw the surprised and confusing state they were in.

They were talking to each other through the mind link and I could tell by the way they all stared at each other's eyes.

"Your Highness, please, are you sure of what you are saying?"

"Are you questioning my statement, Elder Emilio?" I asked him coldly as I glared at him

"No your highness," he said avoiding my eyes

"Good"

"Your Highness please if I may ask, Do we know her? Is she from this pack? Can we see her now "Elder Antonio requested calmly

"No, you cannot see her." I was feeling furious with their numerous questions.

" When are we going to meet the new Luna"

"You will all meet her here tomorrow. This meeting is over". I took off from the room instantly. Surprised at what just happened, I knew exactly what my statement had caused.

Chapter 5

Joel's POV

I went to my room and instructed the guard not to let anyone come into my room or disturb me.

"What have I done" I muttered to myself. Now I had to agree to Tricia's plan of marrying her and claiming her baby.

I sat on my bed and looked at the lamp where I saw a small frame. This frame meant a lot to me. It brought a lot of memories and regret.

On the small frame was a picture of a young woman in her late twenties. My late mate who I lost because of my ignorance.

Khloe died in my arms after receiving a hit that was meant for me. For many years I tried to shut the pain I was feeling for losing my mate and now, it seems like it awakened.

I felt something wet touch my cheeks and I used my hand to dry it. Tears were not going to bring her back. She was gone and gone for good. I knew that if she was still alive, I wouldn't be planning to get married to a stranger and claim her child.

I dropped the frame on the lamp table and stepped out of my room. "Where is she?"

"In the guest room your highness"

I walked past the guard and made my way to the guest room

Tricia's POV

That man is so mean and cold. He is not even trying to see my reasons. "BEAST. COWARD" I muttered under my breath.

I sat on the bed signing frustrated at everything. Nothing was going as planned. I touched my stomach thinking about my child. "I am sorry but it looks like I won't be able to give you a chance of having a father" I whispered to my child hoping it was hearing me

This wasn't my plan. I grew up without having a father. Seeing my mother struggle to train me and my sister was so heartbreaking. Every kid in my class then would always go home with their father but I and my sister always went home by ourselves. My mom always came home late at night after a stressful day at work.

I always yearned for the love of a father and I didn't want my children to grow up without a father. I wanted a man who would love, respect, and protect me and my children. It's funny how I thought Andrew could be that man but I was wrong.

The door to my room pushed open and the Alpha stepped in.

"Hey! Can't you knock or didn't your mother teach you how to"

He gazed at me coldly and I shuddered after his stare. He tightened his hands into a fist and walked closer to me and that was when I got a better look at his eyes which had already turned red

"Don't you ever speak of my mother in such a manner again? Am I understood?"

I swallowed hard as I nodded my head in fear not wanting to piss him off any further. His gaze made me flinch and I knew he was furious.

"Why are you in my__"

"I accept your offer" he interrupted me putting a stop to what I was about to say as he moved away from where I was walking to the door.

"Pardon," I thought I wasn't hearing clearly because a few minutes ago, he acted like he wasn't going to accept the plan.

He yanked the door open and glanced at me "Get ready. In two minutes, we are going to the hospital to see the royal pack doctor. I don't know if you're lying about being pregnant and I don't trust you"

I was still in shock about what I just heard. "Is he serious?" I asked myself.

I squealed in excitement after realizing that he agreed to the plan. I jumped on my bed like a two-year-old child who just received candy. A knock on the door ended my excitement. Who could that be

"You can come in" A young lady with black short hair that looked like a bob came into the room

"Ma'am I am your maid and I have been assigned to assist you with anything you might need"

I looked at her speechless. She just went to the wardrobe to pick up something I might like and I could wear. After she was done with that, She went to set the water in the bathroom so I could take my bath.

She walked towards me so she could help me take off my clothes." No, I will be okay. I can do that myself" She nodded and stood straight like a robot with her hands behind her back and her face bowed.

"Are you going to watch me undress?" I asked surprised she was still in the room

"No ma'am. I am going to help you take your bath"

My eyes widened at her reply. Is that what they do here "There won't be any need for that, you can go"

She bowed her head as she took her leave and closed the door behind her. After she was gone, I checked the door and locked it again so that no one would enter my room while I undressed.

I was brushing my hair while looking in the mirror when I heard a knock

"Who is it?" walking to the door, I unlocked it and stepped back to the mirror

" Are you rea_" he stopped in his words he stared at me amazingly

" Are you tired of staring?" I asked him. A smirk plastered on my face as he left the room instantly

"Hey, are you leaving me here" I didn't get any reply as I followed him fast down the stairs. I saw him entering a car. A big black car

"Is this yours" I halted in my tracks to glance at the car.

"Are you entering or not?" he asked and shut the door of the car. So rude and cold. I quickly joined him in the car and the driver zoomed off.

We got to the hospital and all the nurses and doctors bowed their heads in respect to the Alpha. We went straight to the VIP section and I was taken by a nurse to where I could do the test. After the test was conducted, we both sat in the office of the doctor and waited for the result of the test to be out.

The Doctor came back with a white paper in his hands. He sat down and looked at me in curiosity.

"What does the result say?" The Alpha asked impatiently.

"I would prefer you take a look at it Alpha" The doctor stretched his arm avoiding the cold glare of the Alpha

"Read it out" The Alpha commanded

With his head bowed, he said"Well according to the result here, she is not pregnant" The doctor responded by glancing at me and observing my expression.

My whole body was shocked at what I just heard.
