Rebirth: Revenge Is Everything

Chapter 1

Ariana White was jostled awake.

The loud moans pulled her out of her slumber. As she slowly opened her eyes, the harsh white light stung her eyes. Subconsciously, she tried to block it with her hands, but she found that her hands were pulled over her head and tied in a tight knot to the bedpost.

Everything in the room was decorated beautifully.

A glance around her environment made Ariana realize that she was in a wedding room.

This was supposed to be her wedding night with her childhood love, Vincent Thomas. Unexpectedly, when she went to the dressing room to change, someone suddenly attacked her from behind. Then, everything went black, and she lost consciousness.

"Enough noise, you woke up that woman."

While she was trying to figure out what was happening, a clear and pleasant female voice suddenly spoke. When she looked in the direction of that voice, the scene before her made Ariana's heart drop.

"You!" The confusion, the heartache, and the shock left Ariana speechless.

Right there, merely a meter away from her, Vincent, the man she loved so much, was shamelessly holding another woman in an intimate embrace. Her heart dropped further when she saw that there was not a flicker of remorse in his eyes.

"So what if she saw us? Do you think I'm afraid of her?" Vincent was undeniably handsome, his roguish smile hinted at a boyish charm. But to Ariana, he just seemed disgusting in that moment, stirring up a wave of revulsion in her gut. She couldn't help but confront him: "Vincent, tonight is our wedding night!"

"Our wedding night?.."

Before Vincent could complete his reply, the woman beside him sneered. Covering her red lips with her ruby stiletto nails, her eyes feigned innocence as they gazed at Ariana, who was now reduced to a helpless captive. With a coy, bedazzling smile, she said: "I'm really sorry, but I've already spent your wedding night with Vincent on your behalf, sister."

The word "sister" sounded extremely ironic in Ariana's ears.

The woman sprawled beneath Vincent was her distant younger cousin. When she was little with no one to look after her, her family kindly took her in. But little did they know that she was having an illicit affair with her fiancé behind her back, committing such filthy deeds right in front of her.

"I want a divorce!" She yelled, "Both of you, get out of the White family's house!"

"Oh no, sister is angry and wants to chase us away, doesn't she, Vincent?" Jane White feigned panic as she covered her lips, but her eyes were filled with arrogance. She changed the topic and said coldly, "However, sister, there is no White family anymore. You forgot that from the moment you married Vincent, half of the properties under your name naturally belonged to him. And now, if you die, we can legitimately take over the White family's industries."

"You...”

Ariana snapped back to her senses, her eyes widened in shock, "Vincent, you married me for the White family's properties!"

"Hah," Vincent laughed coldly. His eyes darkened and he said, "I want the White family's properties, and I also want the chip production technology of the White family!"

With a sneer, he reached out his hand to grab Ariana’s chin, forcing her to look him in the eye, "Ariana, if you had told me about the chip technology earlier, I might have spared the White family once. Too bad."

Both the White family and the Thomas family have manufacturing companies. However, since the White family successfully introduced the advanced chip production technology from France, their business has reached new heights.

"Disgusting! You guys make me sick!" Ariana, with crimson eyes, said through gritted teeth.

"Hehe..." Vincent looked down and laughed, as a cold light appeared in his eyes.

"This will not end well for you!"

They will have a retribution. Sooner or later, they will pay for their evil deeds!

But Vincent seemed to catch the hidden message in Ariana's words. He stood up and walked unhurriedly towards the television, the corner of his lips curling up in a sinister grin.

"I almost forgot, I prepared a wedding gift for you."

The screen lit up, and the bright red light hurt Ariana's eyes.

"NOO! You are not a human, you beast!" Ariana couldn't believe her eyes.

Chapter 2

Ariana struggled frantically, her slender wrists were scratched by the coarse nylon rope, and fresh blood seeped down slowly, highlighting the stark contrast against her fair skin.

But she didn’t care, the physical pain was nothing compared to the relentless torment of her heart.

On the screen, her biological parents were tied to chairs, surrounded by raging flames. The searing inferno enveloped them, slowly consuming their bodies.

Every frame on the LCD screen was crystal clear, so much so that Ariana could see her father convulsing in agony, and her mother’s cry of sheer despair, each scene causing her intolerable pain.

"Ahh!"

Ariana let out a painful scream, her eyes bloodshot red.

Jane was a little frightened, but then she realized that the woman in front of her had her hands tied and had no power to fight back. The fear in her heart disappeared. She looked at the man next to her with a flippant manner, “Vincent, it seems Ariana is in a lot of pain.”

Ariana bit her lip so hard that it seemed like her eyes were about to pop out.

She finally understood how the White family villa had suddenly caught fire, and why her parents were tied up and couldn't escape from the disaster despite being in the prime of their lives.

Turns out, Vincent had planned everything since the start, gradually swallowing the White family, step by step.

"Vincent, how dare you kill my parents!"

This heartless creature. The White family had treated him so well, but who would have thought that the man standing before her was a proverbial wolf in sheep’s clothing, devoid of any shred of conscience!

Vincent did not deny it. Since he dared to let Ariana know everything, he already had a plan for her. He indifferently retrieved a dagger from the drawer. The sharp blade glinted coldly in the light, sending chills down one's spine.

"Ariana, if you want to blame something, blame the fact that you are the daughter of the White family."

Vincent, holding the dagger, stood towering over Ariana. Looking at the hatred in her eyes, he suddenly let out a chuckle, and then a “piercing” sound echoed.

It was the sound of the blade entering her abdomen, yet Ariana didn't feel a shred of pain.

At this very moment, her heart was filled with hatred, glaring at the man in front of her as if wishing to take him with her, to seek revenge in the next life.

"Vincent, you won't get away with this, even as a ghost, I won't let you go!"

Ariana's stubbornness agitated Vincent greatly. His rage deepened. As if venting his anger, he stabbed her again and again.

One strike after another, each one reaching deep into the flesh.

Gradually, Ariana's consciousness began to disperse, yet even with her dying breath, she wanted to clearly remember the face of her sworn enemy. In her next life, she would return this pain a thousand-fold.

After an uncertain amount of time, Jane could not bear to watch any longer. She shuffled closer, looking at the woman whose face held an expression of death, and cautiously said, "Vincent, she is already dead."

She was dead, yet her eyes remained wide open as if refusing to die.

At this moment, Vincent's hands were already stained red. He glanced casually at the already cold Ariana and threw his knife away. A smirk formed at the corner of his lips, "I'd love to see who stops me!"

Truly, Ariana wasn't ready to die, not like this.

Ariana floated in the darkness, rapidly recalling every scene from her previous life as if viewing flowers while galloping on horseback. She was suffering through the torment, wishing to escape but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't move. It was as if her hands and feet were bound.

"Wake up, Ari, are you okay?"

Suddenly, she opened her eyes. The sight that greeted her was a familiar lovely face. Quickly standing up, she took the woman's hands, her voice filled with disbelief, "Allison, you..."

Wasn't she dead?

"Ari, why are you so agitated? Did you hit your head?"

Something is wrong!

Chapter 3

Ariana looked at the bright, radiant smile that was even more vivid than the one from her memory. Ever since she agreed to Vincent's idea and introduced Allison Jay to the son of the Austin family, Callan Austin, she hadn't seen that smile again.

Ariana felt deceived for believing that Callan would sincerely love her best friend Allison based on Vincent’s words and naively acted as the matchmaker.

It turned out, Callan Austin hid his true colors. Behind his noble appearances, he was a complete scumbag, and a womanizer. He even resorted to domestic violence, often leaving Allison with injuries. In the end, Allison couldn't bear it any longer and jumped off the roof of the hospital with her newly born baby in her arms.

"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry...If it weren't for me, you wouldn't have died..." Thinking back to her friend's death in her past life, Ariana was in such grief that it felt like a dagger stabbing through her heart. She buried her head and cried loudly.

However, Allison looked at her in confusion and patted her shoulder: "Ari, what nonsense are you talking about? I'm not dead; why are you crying so hard? Were you having a nightmare?"

Seeing her friend crying her eyes out, Allison said exasperatedly.

Not dead?!

"I'm not dead?" Ariana was shocked. She blinked rapidly, looking confused.

"Of course, you're not dead. You only bumped your head. If you were dead, your father would surely demand retribution from the Stone family!" Allison said with a playful grin, lightly touching Ariana's nose.

What on earth was this girl talking about? Ariana became more confused when she heard Allison say this.

It was only at this moment that Ariana realized everything seemed so familiar around her. She remembered that this was three years ago, just after her engagement with Vincent. She had taken her friend to the hospital because of her irregular menstruation, but she did not expect that she would be pushed down by the three jealous women who were with Lambert Stone, leading her to hit her head.

"I..."

Ariana started to speak but then paused. She couldn't dare to casually share such bizarre happenings as rebirth. However, secretly she was delighted, recognizing this as an opportunity given to her by the heavens allowing her to return to the time when she had just gotten engaged to Vincent, and her parents had not been harmed.

Therefore...

There is still a chance to stop all those tragedies from happening!

Ariana clenched her teeth, thinking of her parent's tragic death in her past life, her hatred for Vincent surged uncontrollably. Just then, an impatient male voice sounded in her ear -

"Miss White, since you are awake, let's talk about compensation.”

At this moment, Ariana noticed a handsome man standing by her side. Despite his extravagant clothing, he did not appear vulgar, his eyes radiating a cheeky charm.

Lambert Stone.

A notorious playboy of the influential Stone family, a poisonous creature.

As Ariana looked into Lambert's eyes, she couldn't help but feel a strange sensation creeping up her spine. There was an air of mystery surrounding him, and she couldn't shake off the feeling that there was more to him than met the eye. Then she remembered that indeed, it was this very poison that rose rapidly two years later and became a black wolf of the Stone family. With unyielding ruthlessness, he cleansed the entire Stone family and successfully seized control.

Ariana remembered that he asked her the same question in her previous life. Yet fearing the entanglement with this playboy, she left the hospital without another word, taking Allison with her.

She also remembered Lambert's promise behind her, "You can make a request, anytime, anywhere."

Back then, Ariana thought of it as a joke and didn't take it seriously. Then in the later days, they never had any interaction.

However, now...

She was no longer the naive girl that she was before. Having experienced life and death, she had learned to read the situation and seize the best resources, making it easier for her to seek revenge.

Revenge for the killing of her parents, vengeance for her lost life!

"Hey, were you hit too hard in the head? Speak up, I am in a hurry." Lambert partially squinted his eyes, uninterested in arguing with Ariana. He casually glanced back at the three distressed women behind him, crossed his arms, and said, "You know, I am quite busy.” His words dripped with an unsettling mix of urgency and amusement.

Oh, indeed busy.

The three women behind him were all fighting over him, making a huge fuss in the hospital, which made Ariana want to teach them a good lesson. However, she had a more important task on hand, getting the best compensation from Lambert.

Chapter 4

If it weren't for previously witnessing the ruthless nature of the man before her, Ariana wouldn't have been able to believe that the present man, who seemed unable to accomplish anything, could rise to be a dominating ruler of an era.

Furrowing her brows, Ariana gathered her courage and raised her gaze to look at the man before her, questioning, "Can I make any request?"

Lambert looked at Ariana with a hint of puzzlement passing through his brown eyes.

However, he quickly concealed this unexpected emotion, swiftly leaning forward until his face was nearly touching hers, "Of course, if such a beautiful woman like you were to make a request, I wouldn't hesitate to do anything."

The intoxicating scent of his pheromones made Ariana's heartbeat accelerate and her cheeks blushed with a very noticeable shade of red.

"You perv!" Seeing this, Allison furiously rushed forward to pull Ariana away, as she glared at Lambert with a fierce look in her eyes, "I'm warning you, our dear Ariana is already engaged. Watch out or her fiancé might beat you up!"

"Oh, you're talking about Vincent Thomas, right?" Lambert responded nonchalantly, but his eyes lit up with a hint of provocation at the mention of Vincent's name.

However, Ariana's next words were so shocking that even Lambert was taken aback.

"I want you to marry me."

The temperature seemed to plummet at that moment.

"Hey, woman, do you know what you're saying?" Lambert narrowed his eyes, his gaze shifting as he pointed to the tiger-like women behind him and said in an apparent act of kindness, "Do you understand why these three women came to the hospital?"

"I do, all three of them are here to have abortions for you," Ariana said.

The story of the three women fighting over one man had once made headlines across all major media. It became a long-lasting point of interest, a joke that both the commoners and the elite loved to discuss.

As a result, Lambert's name was thoroughly stained.

Nevertheless, there wasn't a hint of hesitation in Ariana's eyes as she stared firmly at the man before her, asking in a slow and steady tone, "Are you afraid to marry me?"

"Are you sure you want to marry me?"

Lambert glared at the women behind him who was making a fuss because of Ariana's words, and refocused his gaze on Ariana, retorting coldly.

Lambert's coldness sent a shiver down Ariana's spine. Subconsciously, she swallowed, nodded heavily, and said, "Yes."

Only Lambert could help her take revenge.

Ariana knew that Vincent was slowly devouring the Thomas family’s company. She alone was not strong enough. Only by clinging to this man could she make Vincent pay the price!

So, even if she had to gamble her marriage, she was more than willing.

"Alright."

Before Ariana could continue, Lambert suddenly grinned and said in a carefree tone, "Whenever Miss White decides to visit the Civil Affairs Bureau, remember to let me know. For now, I need to take care of these three women."

When he finished speaking, Lambert took the three women behind him and walked away.

"Ari, are you crazy? Do you know who Lambert Stone is, and you want to marry him?" Allison didn't react for a long time after hearing Ariana’s request, she said fervently, "Ari, you're heading into a pit of fire!"

Pit of fire?

In her past life, she had already fallen into such a pit. This time, she came for revenge. Ariana clenched her teeth, her fingernails biting into her palm, turning her knuckles white.

"Allison, believe me, I won't harm myself."

Ariana took a deep breath, her eyes as deep as the ocean.

Three years later, Vincent officially took over the Thomas family, and Lambert was his biggest enemy in the business world. He even suppressed Vincent ruthlessly at times.

She remembered that whenever Vincent mentioned Lambert, he always had a resentful anger in his tone and eyes. She finds it especially relieving now.

Placing her hand on the back of Allison's hand, Ariana smiled brightly and said in a comforting tone, "I know what I'm doing."

Chapter 5

"But..." Allison looked at her friend's stubborn determination, unable to voice her concern, "But the reputation of Lambert... is not good."

In fact, it's actually terrible.

Allison could only think that her bestie became stupid after hitting her head, otherwise, why would she so wishfully ditch a high-quality man like Vincent and choose a trash like Lambert?

Seeing Allison's helpless face, Ariana revealed her first genuine smile since her rebirth, she buried herself into Allison's embrace and said comfortingly: "Allison, I am not a fool. Lambert isn't as bad as you think."

Seeing Ariana’s resolute, Allison knew it would be futile to argue further. As she hesitated, Vincent and Jane approached together, their faces painted with identical worry and frenzy. "Ari, are you alright?"

She saw the two faces which she would never forget even if they turned to ash.

The rage at the bottom of Ariana's heart was uncontrollable, but others weren't aware that a new soul had already reincarnated the girl in front of them. After exchanging glances, Jane was the first to rush to the bed, grabbing Ariana’s hand, her eyes reddened, "Sis, why would someone hit you like this... It's too bad, I'm going to make Vincent beat that person up for you!"

The words "Sis" seemed like an insult from Jane's mouth.

Ariana felt nauseated.

She would never forget the disgusting memory of these two doing the "deed" right next to her.

Taking a deep breath, Ariana managed to suppress her rage, removing her hand without a trace, and replied lightly, "It's okay, there's no need to get revenge."

Ariana's aloofness somehow baffled Jane.

Why does this idiot seem like a different person today, Jane cursed quietly and deliberately scolded Vincent, "Vincent, look at you, you've upset Ari. I came as soon as I heard she had an accident, but you decided to come only after your business negotiation. Ari is upset, isn’t she!"

Vincent coughed lightly and accepted Jane's accusations readily. He then walked towards Ariana slowly, his gaze filled with tenderness, "Ari, I apologize for coming late."

His tone was so affectionate that it could truly touch one’s heart.

Ariana seemed indifferent on the surface, yet in her heart, she loathed this conniving man and adulterous woman to the core.

"No worries. Work is more important," Ariana expressed nonchalantly.

A gleam flashed through Vincent's eyes and he smoothly sat at the edge of the bed. Subconsciously, he wanted to pull Ariana into his arms. However, just as his hand was about to touch her shoulder, Ariana subtly moved away. She set her eyes on the shining pendant around his neck and deliberately raised her voice, "Vincent, the pendant hanging on your neck... why does it seem so familiar to me?"

A sudden shock hit Vincent's heart. He quickly racked his brain, knowing he couldn't hide it, he reluctantly lied, "Just a worthless trinket. I even forgot it was here until you mentioned it."

While talking, he swiftly removed his pendant, casually putting it in his suit's pocket.

Simultaneously, Jane also covertly removed a silver ring from her ring finger. Her heart suddenly trembled.

Damn it, why is this woman so observant today!?

Her and Vincent's pendants were actually a couple's rings. Though they can't openly declare their relationship yet and opted to commemorate their love in this hidden way, they found this secretive manner both exciting and refreshing.

Unfortunately, they were caught red-handed by Ariana today.

With a racing heart, Jane gritted her teeth, unable to utter a word, fearing that Ariana might put the puzzle pieces together and sniff out their secret. Unknown to her, Ariana already knew everything and was even planning revenge.
